Bruce Interview in French Hard Rock Mag
The French drum magazine 'Hard Rock' published an interview with Bruce in its May 2005 issue (#8).As already reported by Maidenfans, Bruce explains that the title track 'Tyranny of Souls' had originally been written for 3 voices (Halford, Tate and him).
But he adds that 'Believil' was originally written for the 'Chemical Wedding' album !
On the Iron Maiden front, Bruce states that the group would only make a "short" tour following their forthcoming 2006 album.
Note that the issue also features an interview with Roy Z, in which the guy gives some details about the recording process of 'Tyranny of Souls'.
Update (June 13):
Here a more detailed transcript of part of that interview:
"Q : Iron Maiden is going to play at the Parc des Princes this year, would it be the most important concert of the year then ?
Bruce : We're gonna try to do something special. Playing at Le Parc des Princes is really unbelievable. When I knew we were going to play there, I was totally astonished. It's gonna be fantastic, because we're gonna play songs from the first four albums, songs that we haven't done in years, and specially songs that the audience will never hear no more !
Q : Really ?
Bruce : Yes, absolutely. We'll make an album in 2006 and then maybe, but that's not sure at all, we'll do a small tour. What is sure is that we are never to do big tours again like before. If you want to know, after these summer gigs, it will be the end of a chapter for Maiden. It's gonna be the last time, we're going to play so many songs from the first albums. There are quite a lot of fans that never got a chance to hear them live and this is gonna be the last chance for them.
This idea thrills me...As an example, I have sung Run to the Hills so many times, but a song like Phantom of the Opera, it's gonna be the last time for the fans to witness this song performed live. And this tour is really exciting for that reason. Because next year, we're on for something else, there will be the new album, and then it will be the more recent songs that will be put forward."
Thanks to madbeast for writing this down

Well, well, the boys are getting old...
Back starts to hurt...
Thanks to you for editing my raw English!
Short tour will probably mean the same as with Eddie Rips Up tour - around 3-4 months which is not bad.

That's what I thought too.
What will the album be like....
The tension is hard to take.

The songs are not even written that we already see this kind of nonsense...

Akin to the DoD tour. That ran from the 19th October 03 to the 8th February 04... Thats just over 4 months. Presumably we'll see the same sort of time frame and touring location emphasis ( By that I mean is it centred around Europe, America, Asia?)

Or like the DOD tour...
3-4 months is allrigth.......
damnit a short tour...that doesn't sound good for us Australian fans!

I think we posted something not so long about that. An Oz tour is not likely to happen for a long time if ever.

Yeah i heard that as well on Triple J we are not included in a world tour as we Aussies always hear the same excuse it cost too much.
Added a little transcript in the news.
Cheers
