Death on the Road to Be Released as Picture Disc
Even if the official announcement didn't mention it, it seems that the forthcoming 'Death on the Road' will be also released as a double LP picture disc.101cd.com are already taking preorders for this limited edition.

it's on www.large.nl and www.emp.de too, though i thought it would've already been covered but now it seems it hasn't...
Please, forgive my ignorance. But after all these years of Maiden I still don't know what EXACTLY is a picture disc...
Can someone explain what it is ? I've seen pictures of that in the commentary but can't understand them at all...
Are they vinnyl versions of the album ? Does those pictures showed at the commnetary comes at the center of the vinnyl ?

As the five layers are combined, a continuous groove of music is pressed into the playing surface. Any excess vinyl is then trimmed from the surrounding area giving the recording a clean edge and thereby completing the disc. Although pleasing to the eye, the overall sound quality of these recordings are not comparable to the better sounding black vinyl discs. This is due in part to ultra thin outside layers of clear vinyl which supports the grooves
So actually, picture discs are vinnyl albums with an awesome cool picture on the playing side....... that's cool !

Well, I've been busy with other things in life and I must say that, for personal reasons, I was like living a "2 AM Life". But, I had visited the site almost every week at least. So I'm aware of what's going on at the Maiden newsworld.
But that's okay ! This is not the place to cry about my personal disgraces...
