Kevin Shirley Working on Live Maiden Material ?
After letting his readers know that "January and February [will] see me back in London, working on revamping some Maiden catalog.", Kevin Shirley has now added a new entry into his diary which might lead us to think he's working on Live Maiden material:
I'm back in my old studio control-room in London, getting to grips with some live music I'm preparing to mixdown for DVD and CD - and each live recording always comes with it's own set of problems. This one is a vocal microphone with more band than voice and it's pretty complicated to fix!
Since he doesn't directly mentions Maiden, this can only be taken as rumor for the moment.

I doubt that this is about Maiden.
Basically, it seems that the singer's microphone caught a lot of the band's sound, probably because the singer was holding it too distant from his mouth. That said, I very much doubt that it could happen to Maiden, since they have a very professional road crew.

Yeah, they dio. But Bruces voice can be very strained at some shows, I just hope that it is not Bruce.

*Last day of the month, **and I'm back in the studio mixing 5.1 surround sound, which I love doing, of a very heavy rock gig I recorded recently!** Had dinner with photographer Ross Halfin last week and took in a Velvet Revolver gig at the Hammersmith Odeon - but have to admit to being slightly underwhelmed! Love STP and GnR but this wasn't either! * Just signing in to close out another January - the weather is very nice in London - managed to go biking this morning in a T-shirt which was much needed after a weekend of fun and games that saw precious little sleep experienced by yours truly! But hey, I was not as naughty as old Bill who was here and basically got hooked up in a very instinctual way, leaving no stone unturned!
