Maiden Stage Equipment for Tour

Posted by Maidenaustria on May 13, 2005 @ 06:38

Above is serious information of the promoter in Graz: Maiden has got a 50 pages production rider (catalogue of used and needed equipment for a concert).

The stage show will be immense. It puts credit to an early rumor that said Maiden would offer one of their biggest stage show ever !

*3 weeks to go and after 19 years Maiden plays Graz again!

That concert is one of the first on the upcoming Maiden-Worldtour – so you can expect a really great show from Bruce Dickinson and the Band at the only Austrian concert.

Some facts: 40t Equipment in 8 trucks 60 members of the crew in 3 Nightliners - supported by 40 local workers 25t light and sound equipment

As seen from the crowd side, it's gonna be the largest event ever happened at the Stadthalle Graz.

Backstage there will be 10 wardrobes – a special Band Tuning & Drum Practise Room, a Vocal Room , a Internet Room and an Locker Area for massage aswell.

Local promoters just try to sell more tickets. We will see what's going to happen, when tour starts.

?? sell more tickets by telling how many tons of equipment is being used...

I heard from the Promoter, there are several interests of Slovenian and Hungarian Fans who try to come to Graz - I guess they'll come because of the music...

BTW: ~ 6.000 tickets sold

Be(a)st regards,

Promoter mailed to me 6.000 out of possible 11.000!

But he said, he hasn't the exact data from the ticket sellers...

If you look at any festivals they play in, you'll see that between the last band on the bill and Iron Maiden, there's at least 45-50 minutes of time. I guess this confirms the complexity of the stage set.

or the complexity of the next stage... but on ozzfest for I don't think maiden is gonna use the whole stage. since Black Sabbath actually are the main act.

Hey guys. This one goes out to those of you in Austria

I'm a Maiden fan from New York, USA. I will be visiting Austria in a couple of weeks, and, of course, plan on attending the Graz show.
Unfortunately, I don't speak the language and can't quite understand everything that [https://www.oeticket.com/](https://www.oeticket.com/) writes about.
There a coule of questions that I have and would really appreciate your help:
1. The website offers "Kat 1" tickets. Are there seats @ Stadthalle? Is there standing room (general admission)?
2. I don't think I have enough time to get the ticket in the mail. Can I pre-purchase it online and pick up at the venue on the day of the show?
3. What's the best way of getting to Graz from Vienna?
4. Could you recommend an affordable place to stray overnight in Graz.

Thanks a lot.
