Paul Di'Anno's Maiden Had Less Theatricals
Former Iron Maiden frontman Paul Di'Anno commented to the Diomessageboard.com about his time in the band, which included the two classic studio albums Iron Maiden and Killers, "...as without those 2 albums both Maiden and myself would not be around today. Maiden have never recaptured those early emotions and I am still trying." When asked what he thought of the direction Maiden should have gone in, he offers, "Aggression and self expression and much less of the theatricals."Read the entire interview at the Diomessageboard.com in the "Don't Talk To Strangers" section.

Paul adds some more stuff about Maiden, but not that much. You can check the whole Q&A session at the Dio boards.
They have a very strict policy on reproduction of articles they write, so I won't copy/paste it before getting their greenlight (don't want to be banned off their forums ).
Cheers
Yeah, DiAnno's Maiden had less theatricals and a less professional singer too.

I wonder if Paul is gonna cry.
of course Paul is right. I dont know what else he is supposed to say. Interesting he is "still trying" though, as I think it´s time for him to try and be focused with a new project and album.
dianno rulez
anyway he should do music on his own and not always focuse on maiden
Face it, Paul is inferior to Bruce. Both Paul era albums are inferior to most Bruce era albums. Maiden chose the right path.
Blade Runner Inferior it's not the right words, this is your opinion Iron Maiden and killers are great albums, but answering the topic, I went to a dianno show in february it was great, but he is like a rapper now!!! that shit and he is TOO MUCH HE in the stage, the music have a lot of art, and you have to interpretate some parts...
Ok, maybe inferior is not the right word, but Bruce took Maiden up to a whole new level.
