South Park's Creators' Tribute to Iron Maiden
In their latest movie 'Team America', Trey Parker and Matt Stone of South Park fame made their own personal tribute to Iron Maiden. Here's what the trivia section of the Internet Movie Database says about this:
Sections of the Cairo set are a meticulous recreation of the cover to Iron Maiden's album "Powerslave".
Thanks to SilentAssaSIN of the Iron Maiden BB, here's a screenshot of the scene:

Since this trivia is undocumented and Maidenfans.com couldn't locate direct sources, take this tribute as a rumor only, for the recreation could be only one of Ancient Egypt.

Looks like that temple up by the nile with the four statues sitting there. Can't remember the name of it right now...

Abou Silbel (don't know if I spell it right)
and yes, hello from me!!!new member!!! up the irons!
It's not really a re-creation of the album cover, As those statues and diggings really exist and it dosen't even look like the powerslave cover.
Wow! We're being over-run by newcomers! Welcome
I REALLY want to see Team America. Looks excellent!
It is excellent, but that particular screen shot is *not* Powerslave.
I cant see any similarity other than it being Egypt to Powerslave. Can anybody that has seen it say that it does have a Powerslave reference in it?
Would you believe it? Egypt has made a monumental tribute to Powerslave! Those Egyptians are real Maiden fans! Just check out this picture of their larger-than-life tribute:

That's what I call dedicated fans!
That was exaclty what I thought and didn't put it as news. Many movie sites (I only mentionned IMDB) do say that there's a tribute to Powerslave in that movie but we know how rumors are created
Cheers
