The Bruce Air trip to Iceland was apparently yet another success for Iron Maiden. Bruce, Nicko and Rod were onboard, Nicko being the better steward ever.

This FTP server has many sets of pictures from both the show and the roundtrip:

You can also see a great slideshow by clicking this link !

Another fan has uploaded his pictures in here.

And you can also check these out.

If you have the right language abilities, you can finally read a little report from a local newspaper here.

Here's what roughrider10 thought about it all:
Just got home from the Iceland gig on Flight No AEU 666 with 1st OFFICER Dickinson at the pointed end, "What a gig! What a 24 hrs." (Bruces very own words).
I think we are all just about knackered, but what a great time we all had, with Nicko and Rod on board as well to help keep us all entertained.

Bruce and Nicko gave us a great flight and the flight crew were fantastic,i ts not easy to keep 190 Maiden fans strapped in there seats but we had Rock in Rio as the in flight entertainment and Bruce and Nicko signing our stuff for us during the flight.
Us guys were first into the gig but we had not counted on the determination of the Iceland fans to get to the front of the pit and the pressure on us guys became incredible and some of us had to fall back because it became unbearable.
The Band were on top form and I don't think I have heard them sound better, well done boys.
It was great to meet all you other Maiden fans again and I hope to see you all in Paris on the 25/06/05.

In related news, it seems that the idea of having girls appearing on stage during 'The Number of the Beast' was finally dropped. The concept lasted only the two or three first gigs, but since the sister festivals in Germany, they are nowhere to be seen. Bruce apparently thought they didn't fit with the Maiden experience.

Many thanks to Maidenrob for the FTP server, to McNurse, oozily and Nomore

Bruce is probably right. I don't think the girls onstage fit with the Maiden concert, with the exception of the wicker virgins being burnt.

Concerning the gig in Reykjavik, my question would be: was there an opening act?

There will be girls on stage in Finland.

You can check out this from http://www.pinkki.fi/

Why you thought it was Bruce that decided to drop the girls, because it was our very own Brucie who had lots of fun with the chicks on stage in Prague? For example he took a tail from one of the girls and replaced it to his pants as a dick and chased them with it. It was funny as hell and gave a little extra shot in the arm to this maybe too much played classic. Also the beast lurking around above the stage in TNOTB was cool.

Nevolution. Local Icelandic band - the kids at the gig seemed to love them.
