The Bolton Iron Maiden
"Heavy Metal Giants Iron Maiden have thrown their weight behind a tribute to a former Bolton rock guitarist who died 30 years ago.""Now the band hope to release a CD of their old songs to raise money in memory of their guitarist. And the famous Iron Maiden has promised to help by allowing the CD to be advertised on their website though they have to be known as the Bolton Iron Maiden and proceeds of the CD must go to charity."

okay, I'm a bit confuzzled
is the band Bolton going to release an album with their old songs, or is Bolton going to release an album with old Iron Maiden songs?
Or is Iron Maiden going to release an album with older songs rerecorded or just a rerelease cd with old songs?
As I said, I'm a bit confuzzled
Could anyone explain what exactly is going on here?
Iron Maiden from Bolton existed before little 'Arry formed his band. The CD that's going to be released will feature their own songs, recorded back in 1970.

Hi Mav
Just seen the mention for the Bolton Iron Maiden.
We are having the CD pressed today (27th October) and should be ready in two weeks. Thank you and your readers for the support. As you said - the profits from the CD will be shared with two cancer charitites - because our guitarist Beak died from Cancer in 1976 and 2006 will be the 30th anniversary of his death.. Just hopes this clear's up confusion for sfeerkeeltsie - Thanks again for your interest - Paul
