Winner of fan competition: small review of first four new songs
" So, now its past the 29th, I'm allowed to give you a brief undetailed review of the new album. So here we go...
I heard the first 4 tracks (Different Worlds, These Colours Dont Run, Brighter Than A Thousand Suns and The Pilgrim) - they all sound fucking brilliant!!! The Pilgrim has a kind of eastern/mediaeval feel a bit like The Nomad from BNW, and BTATS is just METAL!!!
The album is much heavier than DOD, there might even be some drop-tunings in there (i could be mistaken), but its not sold out or anything - this isnt a St. Anger by Metallica, its definately still maiden.
The bass sound is amazing, far clearer, and the bass lines have become more complex again - 'Arry seems to have given up just playing root notes as he has been doing for a while, halleluja!!!
Its also a very progressive album with lots a time changes and atmospheric keyboards, kind of like a more modern SSOASS.
That's about it really!!! "

If only there was a couple of samples of the album, like maybe a minute or something as all the songs are pretty damn epic.
I'd say a minute be more than enough just to a taste for it.
But indeed jummy bugger
........Ok maybe a minute 30, that'd be more than enough
