Maiden in Croatia Report
Javno.com reports that Iron Maiden performed in front of 20,000 people Sunday night (August 10) at Poljud Stadium in Split, Croatia. The medical personnel was kept busy after 11:00 p.m. with ten interventions because of excess alcohol consumption. This was not a surprise considering that by 7:00 p.m., it was reported that there was a sudden shortage of beer in all of Split's kiosks. The organizers of the event released an additional 500 tickets a few hours before the concert. According to the site, "'Rivers' of people and cars from all over Croatia and the EU arrived at the venue in the early afternoon. They could all hardly wait for the day to come that their idols arrive at Hajduk's stadium. Not even the long and hard journey from Lovran bothered a group of young fans that decorated their van with flags and scarves of their metal heroes."
