Fear of the dark.....???????? Strange....
Yeah, pretty strange Fear of the Dark. They should've played Infinite Dreams instead! Bruce was pretty rude here in Sydney tonight. Called a few guys up the front c#nts because they lit a cigarete. If he's getting too old to deal with the rock n roll of the fans then he shoud stick to flying airplanes!
How bout u STFU slemmens , Bruce is god and can do watever he f**k he wants to so stuff it u wanker
I know Live After Death is the focus of this tour, and that is why so many of the Classic songs are being played: Trooper, revelations etc. I woudl have rather had more of the songs from just these albums played though. Where is The Evil that men do? or Infinite Dreams? I think Iron Maiden shoudl be played at every show, but other than that, less of the classics and more of the focus material would be my preference.
I saw them on Somewhere on Tour in El Paso TX and was upset they didn't play a single song from Piece of Mind. That was in 1989!!! Now I am getting 4 of them?
Oops, only 2 from piece of mind!
I'm a bit disappointed by the choices, especially by Fear of the Dark. The Trooper, Run to the Hills, Revelations, The N.O.B and Iron Maiden should not be there. Where is the great Stranger in a Strange Land, or Somewhere in Time, The Evil that Men Do or Infinite Dreams (I agree slemmens !).
As for the IronMaiden4life dude, grow up. You are a sad case. The Ozzie guy's comments were justified. I have seen Maiden many time snow and Bruce has become a bit of an arse.
Anyway, keep on rocking guys!
Any group with the longevity and success such as Iron Maiden will never be able to please all of the people all of the time. This tour was in part conceived because of the criticism the band received from playing so many song from A Matter of Life and Death (not their best release, even from the second "Bruce" era) on their last tour. Considering how many great songs and albums they have produced over the years, this core group of songs from their "classic" years is a nice blend of material designed to please fans from that era. There are also songs I would like to hear such as Flight of Icarus, Infinite Dreams, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son as "epic" entry in the song list, the Duelist, The Prisoner, or a slew of others. There is also the balancing act between bandmember egos and the focus different songs give their stagecraft, playing abilities and songwriting. Lighten up and enjoy the show!!!
