Bruce to Open Oxjam Chiswick Music Festival
The Hounslow Chronicle reports:Iron Maiden's very own lead singer Bruce Dickinson is set to open the Oxjam Chiswick mini-music festival at the festival's flagship venue The Hogarth Health Club.
Bruce, vocalist for the heavy metal band Iron Maiden, will officially announce the opening of the mini-music festival which comes to Chiswick for the first time on Saturday 22nd October 2011. Cutting the chord on the big day, Bruce will start celebrations around midday as crowds gather to enjoy live music from midday to midnight with over sixty bands lined up across venues up and down Chiswick high Road.
Chiswick will play host to an eclectic mix of music as local bands and artists take over six popular local venues on Saturday October 22nd for the first time, run by a group of volunteers to raise funds for Oxfam UK.
Oxjam Chiswick's line up lies in its diversity. From rock to folk, indiepop to rockabilly, and acoustic to hip hop, a whole spectrum of musical genres are represented with access via one wristband ticket giving access to the entire mini-festival from midday to midnight.
