Maiden to Film Buenos Aires and Santiago Dates for Upcoming DVD

on April 14, 2011 @ 16:55

BW&BK reports:

In an interview with Chile's Futuro 88.9 FM, IRON MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris has revealed that the band will film their April 8th and April 10th concerts in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Santiago, Chile, respectively, for an upcoming DVD release.

Says Harris (translated), "We have everything ready. Will record two shows (Chile and Argentina). We will use footage from both. Chileans and Argentines have been a great strength for us, and now we want to show the public more of those parts. We had already recorded there for the movie, Flight 666, but only one song per country, now we'll show the public much more of Chile and Argentina. Wherever we go, we always wondered what the best groups in the world were, and we thought South America, Chile, Argentina and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Now we can show it. I always thought that if we could take the public with us, it would be to those countries. The rest of the fans in the world can see how they react to the Chileans and Argentines, and will have something to draw from."

When asked, 'How many cameras will record the National Stadium?', Harris replied, "I think it will be about 10 or 12. I have always been involved in the production and direction of our live shows, but now working with a very good company, the guys who made the documentary Flight 666. It is they who are responsible for recording the shows, so for me at least, is a great relief."
